Join GM Alex Timmis On Wednesday, August 24th as we learn and play ‘Kids on Bikes!’
In Kids on Bikes, you’ll take on the roles of everyday people grappling with strange, terrifying, and exceptionally powerful forces that they cannot defeat, control, or even fully understand. The only way to face them is to work together, use your strengths, and know when you just have to run as fast as you can.
It's a small town but the laboratory has always made it feel larger. Lots of the adults work there. Most people at least know someone who does, like an aunt in the mailroom or a cousin who's a janitor. The lab is always the excuse when something weird happens in town. Power goes out just on half the cul-de-sac? They needed more juice at the lab. Someone's pet cat gone missing? Probably some hungry experiment escaped from the basement. Whatever the rumors, you know there's a virtual reality super computer that will be left unattended this weekend. What's a little harmless fun to start your summer vacation?
In this session we'll create your characters, learn the basics of gameplay and jump into our adventure to finish the night. It will take about 3 and a half hours to complete depending on pace of play. No previous experience is expected or required and all players are invited to join the table!

GM Alex Timmis (he/him) loves telling stories around the table with friends. He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for seven years and rolling dice behind the DM screen for three. While an improv performer and instructor, Alex fell in love with role playing games and helped bring FIASCO! to life onstage at the Mopco Improv Theater in Schenectady. RPGs, like improv, give us a space to play and explore roles we don’t typically get to play in our day-to-day lives. Alex encourages a playful and respectful table where all players get a chance to add to the narrative and share the spotlight.
