Call of Cthulhu One Shot Adventure: The Haunting of Peale Manor

Date: Friday October 13th

Time: 5:30 - 9:30pm

Cost: $15

Location: Bard & Baker Troy, 501 Broadway, Troy, NY

Join GM Alex and your elite team of ‘70s paranormal investigators as you try to unravel the secrets of Peale Manor's haunted history.

The bureau has your team on the road again, this time to a Gilded Age manor out in New York somewhere. The Peale Manor has been preserved for decades as a museum per the owners’ wishes after their sudden and mysterious disappearance.

At first perusing the files turns up nothing too remarkable: phantom footsteps, the unusually cold room, whispers in latin… The notes about the couple’s association with The Heliotropic Temple of Ra raise eyebrows.

Believed responsible for the San Francisco Earthquake (1906) and the Tunguska Event (1908) at the height of their strength. Explains why the office has kept an eye on this place. Can you discover what happened at Peale Manor all those decades ago?

Monsters will be the only terrifying unknown as the session will begin with a brief introduction to the rules of Call of Cthulhu for those that are new to the game or might need a quick refresher. Pre-generated characters will be provided as well as dice.

Pre-generated characters will be provided, so no need to create your own!

Seats are limited so RSVP here to save your spot! Seating begins at 5:30pm to grab food, drink and settle in before the game begins at 6:00 PM.

DM Alex Timmis (he/him) loves telling stories around the table with friends. He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for eight years and rolling dice behind the DM screen for four of them. While an improv performer and instructor, Alex fell in love with role playing games and helped bring FIASCO! to life onstage at the Mopco Improv Theater in Schenectady. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Electric City Puppets. Role playing games, like improv, give us space to play and explore roles we don’t typically get to play in our day-to-day lives. Alex encourages a playful and respectful table where all players get a chance to add to the narrative and share the spotlight with one another.
