The Jackal’s Tower

(Lv. 7 One-Shot)

Date: Thursday, April 20th

Time: 5:30 - 9:30pm

Cost: $15

Join the adventuring party for a Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventure for Level 7 characters. Create your character, grab some dice, and come join the table as you dare the dangers of a wicked sorceress's tower.

Deep in the desert, beyond the reach of any Queen or King’s law, a city of outlaws grew in the shadow of a glittering alabaster tower. Brigands, robbers and cutthroats gather at this bleak oasis in a rowdy jumble of tents and derelict huts. Whispers and rumor cloak the mistress of the Tower of the Jackal in obscurity. Few dare speak Vota’s name aloud for fear it brings her wicked gaze. While superstition and fear keep the rabble away, some risk to wonder if she still even lives so many centuries after the glittering tower and it’s gardens were built. What hidden treasures may lay within for those foolish or brave enough to dare entry?

This one-shot is inspired by the sword and sorcery stories of Robert E. Howard and will take between 3 to 4 hours to complete. Some previous play experience is encouraged but all are invited to join the table!

Come prepared with a character of your own imagining using any currently published 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons materials or use one of the pre-generated characters provided. You are encouraged to bring along writing supplies Seats are limited so RSVP here to save your spot! Seating begins at 5:30pm to grab food, drink and settle in before the game begins. Please arrive early if you are planning to choose a pre-generated character.

Space is limited, and tickets can be purchased HERE!

DM Alex Timmis (he/him) loves telling stories around the table with friends. He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for eight years and rolling dice behind the DM screen for four of them. While an improv performer and instructor, Alex fell in love with role playing games and helped bring FIASCO! to life onstage at the Mopco Improv Theater in Schenectady.  He is currently the Artistic Director of the Electric City Puppets. Role playing games, like improv, give us space to play and explore roles we don’t typically get to play in our day-to-day lives. Alex encourages a playful and respectful table where all players get a chance to add to the narrative and share the spotlight with one another.
