Join DM Alex Timmis and learn to play the world's most famous role playing game in this Dungeons and Dragons 101 Adventure! Conquer the character sheet, discover what all those dice are for, and experience the thrill and joy of group storytelling. Choose a character from the provided selection that inspires your imagination and get rolling on a short adventure to give you a taste of what this wonderful game has to offer.
In this workshop session we will begin by introducing the range of classes and races to choose from, discuss the basics of roleplaying, and learn the core mechanics of the game through experience and play as we adventure! You are encouraged to bring along your own dice and note taking materials but some will be available to those who need them.
Seats are limited so RSVP here to save your spot! Seating begins at 5:30pm to grab food, drink and settle in before the game begins.

DM Alex Timmis (he/him) loves telling stories around the table with friends. He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for eight years and rolling dice behind the DM screen for four of them. While an improv performer and instructor, Alex fell in love with role playing games and helped bring FIASCO! to life onstage at the Mopco Improv Theater in Schenectady. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Electric City Puppets. Role playing games, like improv, give us space to play and explore roles we don’t typically get to play in our day-to-day lives. Alex encourages a playful and respectful table where all players get a chance to add to the narrative and share the spotlight with one another.
