From Jeremy the Meetup host:
"Howdie do,
Session four has arrived! This session marks the first time we will continue a series from the previous session. Manhattan Projects won the group with its weirdness and its whole lot going on, but Kill or be Killed Vol 1 was selected as usual, by writing the names of comics everyone brought to the session, putting them into a bag, and drawing a name.
Thank you to everyone who contributed books for the selections. For this time, however, I suggest bringing only one comic to nominate. Last session we brought two books and activated my fear of missing out on comics (I see you, Monstress!!).
Bard & Baker continues to offer a wonderful space to chat and eat tasty snacks. Session four is no different. However, the one difference for this session is continuing Manhattan Projects, so if you’re attending for the first time, I advise you to read the first volume. Your local library may have a copy, but if not you can purchase through Image Comics. As for this month’s trades you can also purchase them through Image Comic’s website: Kill or Be Killed Vol 1 and The Manhattan Projects Vol 2 or your local library as some members wont.
After discussing the comics we’ll follow our usual democratic process to select the trade for the next session, session 5 in March. We’ll also decide whether to continue The Manhattan Projects or switch to a new series. We may even choose to continue both Kill or Be Killed and Manhattan Projects!
So what are you waiting for? Save the date and come on out to Bard & Baker on February 21st at 6PM to chat about Kill or Be Killed and The Manhattan Projects Vol 2, eat some snacks, sip on some drinks and laugh with friends. While reading isn’t required, it sure adds to the fun. "
