Date: Thursday, November 14th
Time: 5:30 - 9:30pm
Cost: $15
Join DM Alex Timmis and learn to play the world's most famous role playing game in this Dungeons and Dragons 101 Adventure! Conquer the character sheet, discover what all those dice are for, and experience the joy of group storytelling.
Choose a character from the provided crafted selection that inspires your imagination and get rolling on a short adventure with new friends.
The session will last from 3 to 3 ½ hours and give you a taste of what this wonderful game has to offer. In this workshop session we will begin by introducing the many classes and character types you can take on, discuss the basics of roleplaying, and learn the core mechanics of the game through experience as we!
You are encouraged to bring along your own dice and note taking materials but everything you need to play will be at the table. This session will use the most recently released Players Handbook and 2024 updated ruleset.
The materials and pace of these sessions are intended for participants 14 years and older.
Seats are limited so RSVP here to save your spot! Seating begins at 5:30pm to grab food, drink and settle in before the game begins at 6:00pm.

DM Alex Timmis (he/him) loves telling stories around the table with friends. He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for eight years and rolling dice behind the DM screen for four of them. While an improv performer and instructor, Alex fell in love with role playing games and helped bring FIASCO! to life onstage at the Mopco Improv Theater in Schenectady. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Electric City Puppets. Role playing games, like improv, give us space to play and explore roles we don’t typically get to play in our day-to-day lives. Alex encourages a playful and respectful table where all players get a chance to add to the narrative and share the spotlight with one another.
